can some help me? can i program a used key from another car. can the remote be program for another car

It's been my experience and the advice of the dealer, other non-dealer sales people and my mechanic taht you can not reprogram a Smart Key from another vehicle to your vehicle. Sorry. Don't waste your money on eBay or anywhere else purchasing one. Spend the money on a new one from the dealer.

if the key has been personalized to other vehicle, it is "married" and cannot divorce

 

I had to buy a new key for my C at the dealership in the fall. I'm pretty sure the Smart key is one of the highest tech on the market and work for the car it was made for only; unlike my Infiniti that I bought a remote and key off ebay for and had the dealer reprogram it right there.
