C230 door lock removal-rear help
 

My rear door lock on driver side is making several attempts to lock (sound like a machine gun). I have the assembly loose in the door, door panel removed, but cannot get it out. What else has to be removed to make room for removal? I did get the 2 piece styrofoam spacer removed. The dealer said they had to remove the window guide to get it out, but that doesn't seem right. I'm thinking maybe the door handle which seems to be in the way but don't know how to do that. Any help is appreciated.

You are going to have to detach the window from the regulator and hold it in the up position, so you can remove the rearpart of the window regulator from the door panel. sorry, the dealer is right.
