C230 bulb replacement and noise issue
 

I have two issues on my 97 C230 which need help:

1), The bulb for the engine coolant temp gauge went bad. Does anyone know how to remove the cluster panel to replace the bulb.

2), My car is having noise issue at right rear corner in the engine compartment when the climate control is turned ON. Further investigation found that there are two solenoids in front of the electrical box making noise and causing excessive heat. I believe those solenoids control the hot water flow going to the heat core. I want to know has anyone experienced this problem before. How much cost for the parts? Thanks!

The solenoids make “click” noise approx. every 5 seconds
