C220cdi non start for five min please help
C220cdi w203 non start for five min
Hi guys having problems with my c220cdi
Everyday now when I go to start it just does nothing won't turn over
The fault put key in ignition try to start and the glow light does not come on and the engine fan starts to run full speed
If I leave this for exactly five mins and try and start again it all works fine as long as the battery lasts
I have had mb breakdown out who tested it with star but there were no fault codes
He just wanted it taken to dealer for investigation
Any help would be good
Cheers
Steve

My thoughts would be the glow plugs. Not sure how to test them, but I saw them for around £6 online, so change them, see what happens. Glow Plug for your MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS T-Model (S203) C 220 CDI (203.208) (150HP) (this link goes to the plugs for my C220, go to the home page and type in your reg, then "engine compartment" then "ignition/preheating"
Have you checked the voltage in the battery??

Hi
The glow plugs have been checked and work fine
The battery is ok as we'll
The car seems to run through a cycle once the ignition has been on for five min you turn it off and then all the lights light up as normal and it starts first time
You just have to wait for the engine fan running at full speed which puts a big drain on the battery but after that it starts as normal
