Hi, I would really appreciate any help you can give. I have a 2001 C220CDI with only 70K on the clock. Everything worked well until a few weeks ago when the car would not unlock with the remote. Nothing, no indicators flashing nothing.

I used the blade key to get in, out the key in the lock and no worries. When I got out, the locking worked fine. Since then it has worked fine, then failed to lock or unlock. Occasionally the remote key won't turn in the ignition either.

What we have noticed is that if it does not work, if you start it and stop it again it often fixes it for a while.

Really stuck as I think it is a software issue or something along them lines.
