c220 airbag light deactivation
 

hello Just bought a C220 2005 MODEL and we ahve a baby on the way. im hoping sombody could tell me how we go about turning off the airbag for the passenger seat. i rang merc in cardiff and they tell me the only way to do it is buy one of thier £280 baby seats! which are also on short supply in the uk!! surley this is not the case???
the owners hand book tells me to contact nearest dealer.

any advice would be great..

hey call a garage called a1 diagnostics and ecu repairs on sloper road tel 02920220380 they will sort it for you. ask for richie he did my c class

As far as I know passenger seat has weight sensor in, and passenger bag is automaticly deactiveted if less than 40 KG is on seat
