c180, w202 99 model. Bad acc and throttle response.
Hey.
First off, my english aint that good but this is the only place i feel that i get good answers...
Im doing som work on my dads car, its been accelerating like a piece off junk. (Yes, i know its not a fast car.) From 0-60 mph it takes like maybe 18-20 sec, and the rpm will not go over 3500-4000. I bought a air mass sensor and it helped ALOT. But still, i have som problems.
1. The car accelerates like it should when i only press the throttle 80-90%. If i floor it it feels like an old carburator car with to much fuel... what can be the problem ?
2. Theres kinda a "lag" in the throttle response also, it takes like 1 sec after you press the pedal for the engine to respond. Why ?
3. This question may be related with the question over. Under the bonet where the throttlecable ends there is a electrical device, if i take the connection out, the car wouldnt rev. What is the device ?
