C180 Footbrake Problem
 

1998 C180 has very harsh footbrake release. When I pull the release handle there is a distinct "bang" as the brake releases.

My 2003 C180 Kompressor SE Coupe has a footbrake release that's smooth as butter.

So are early saloons prone to harsh operation or has the footbrake release on mine got a fault?

All help appreciated.

I had a 1994 C180, and now a 2003 C180K just like you! I remember the exact same thing! I guess they didn't bother to put a little damper on it. No problem, the mechanic are strong, and that would not brake...
