Adding CD changer W202
 

I was wondering if I could add the trunk mounted CD changer MC3196NA (non-fiber) to my original MB head unit? Does wiring exist that would allow me to just plug and play? 97 C280 Sport.

I just went threw this. In order to have a cd changer in the c class it has to be a fiber optic cd changer or it has to be in dash. The "KNOCKOFF" ones do not work. If it is cost that you are worried aout you can find them used on ebay or from a parts destributer. Once you get the unit open your trunk and on the right side there are two wire. one fiber optic and one that looks like a phone jack. Just plug it in and there you go.

The unit I'm looking at is an actual MB CD changer for cars from 94 to 99 model #MC3196NA. I'll take a look at the wiring to see what's there.

O sry it is a MB unit. Then definatly pull the trunk out and look. One wore should be multi colors and other one is orange with black tape around it.
