96' C230K idle problem
 

My buddy has just bought a '96 C230K with 124000miles on it. Nice car in good condition with Full Merc history but it sat for a while before he bought it.

It stalls when stopping at junctions, especially once warm.

there are no warning lights on and we have changed all the filters, oil and plugs to no avail. The throttle linkage seems to oscilate a little, is this normal?

I can't find an obvious air leak but it seems like air getting in or fuel starvation after a short burst as it won't settle back into an idle. that said if you re start it will idle fine until you next pull up...........HELP!
