I have a 95 c220 with 42,000 mi. the check engine light recently came on. there is only a round obd connector under the hood. none under dash. will this give codes? also can i reset the light by disconnecting battery power or do you need a reader. the car drives fine. Thanks.

 

Depending on the code, the battery trick usually will reset things. It won't reset an SRS error though. Also, you must have your radio code available and may have to reset the windows and sunroof (directions in your users manual).
