I just recently bought a 02 c230 coupe, with the supercharger.....I have read that you are able to put an aftermarket intake on it with a blow off valve.....i'm curious is this possible? any help would be appreciated also what companies make aftermarket intakes and exhaust (catback).............thanks

 

In theory is the correct parts are available you can replace the intake, I have a C280 and put on a CAI that was designed for the engine. So if the parts are available the answer is yes. However putting a blow off valve, might not get you thru state inspection for pollution. Especially if your state like mine are on CAFE standards. The intake shouldn't be a problem and might give you a slight increase in HP.

 

michigan doesn't have a inspection law, so i think i should be alright with that....why i am interested in the blow off valve is because i used to have a 98 eclipse spyder gst it was a show car, i had a intake and the blow off valve on there and loved the sound so i guess i'm still a kid at heart..lol but can you give me a link to where i can get a intake for this car and if the intake will have a waste gate (blow off valve) adapter on it? thank you very much for your reply
