2010 C300 -- No warnings for lights, keys, door open????

2010 C300 -- No warnings for lights, keys, door open????
The dealer checked ($110) and thinks it's something in the drivers' door. But, that will be another $100 to look and then IF it's there, another $700+ for part.
Any thoughts on what went wrong? Alarms for door, lights, etc. always worked fine. We did have a battery go bad last month, and it seems to have started after that.
Any help would be appreciated.
