2007 C230 Window question
 

I just bought 2007 C230 about 2 months ago. The windows were tinted black when I bought the car, the front two windows have vertical scratched lines on the tint film, when you look from inside the car. I wonder if take my car to the dealer will they replace or fix the tinted windows my car is still under warranty?

If not, does anyone know how to remove the door panels, I heard that most German cars have some plastic inside the door panel that scratches the tint film?

No, the dealer will not replace the tint. It is not a factory item. The scratches are normally caused by dirt on the window felt. You can remove the door panel and the felt scraper and clean it to stop it from scratching the tent.

Ok, does anyone know how to remove the door panel?

interior door grab handle pops off... half of it pops off then there is torx screws under that then rmove the SRS label and there is one under that...then remove the screw to the door latch trim piece. and remove the locking knob that unscrews then pop off the door panel at the bottom and it will pull away from the door. then youll have to lift off the panel the rest of the way starting at the front. also youll have to unhook the cable and unplug some connectors at the door control module.
