The driver side power seat doesn't move front. When press the button a slight sound "ke ke" can be heard, likely trying to kick in but for some reason not able to.

Any guesses for the problem? Anyone has experiences in dissembling power seat? Thanks a lot!

 

Do you hear a clicking sound coming from the control unit under the seat when trying to adjust the seat?? If you do then you prabably have a bad motor or an object under your seat keeping it from moving. Sometime the motor isnt available seperate and you have to buy a complete seat frame.

 

Yes, I can hear that.It is the same motor that controls both front and back, right? Is itoften seenthat the motor is bad in one direction but good in the other?

 

Also, is it hard to work on the power seat for an entry to mid DIYer?
