2002 C240 Electrical Transmission Issues - Help
There are 3 main issues with my C240:
1. The car dies after about 12 hours of sitting if the bottom right (when facing the passenger door from outside the car) 10 amp fuse is not pulled, which powers the dashboard
2. The car doesn't think it's in park (either covering W/S or R on the dashboard) and won't turn over. If the key is left in the ready position just before turning over, it will eventually realize it's in park and cover P, thus allowing it to start
3. When the car starts, it locks into whatever gear it is in after about 1 minute (limp home mode?) and will not shift until the car is restarted. Putting it into reverse will lock the car into the bottom gear
I have been dealing with these issues for the past 2 years and have made no progress on fixing any of them.
Has anyone experienced anything similar or have any ideas as to what could be malfunctioning?
