2001 C240 Suspension
 

I have owned several models of the Mercedes Benz family.....My problem is my 2001 C240.....Everytime I hit a bump, it makes such a hard knocking sound like it's going to fall apart....The car has been thoroughly checked and a safety checked was done and there are no problems found on the shocks/struts, tire rod ends and control arms. Just curious, what else should I look for? Is the problem going to be like I have on my 1997 Jaguar XJ6, which was a $15.00 bushing that will cost me $200 in labour to install?

those cars have a few items that can cause that noise, sway bar links, or sway bar bushings, very common, loose front subframe bolts4 of them, front torque strut or also calledthrust arms, worn out or the ball joint on the thrust arm worn out.
