2000 C280 Sport Tint

I'm new to this, but i just got a 2000 C280 Sport a few months ago and have done a few simple mods (grille, AMG wheels, clear corners) nothing major I just wanted to make it look a little better. The last piece i want to add is some tint. Now, it looks like there is a slight bit of tint on the factory window already with a blue-ish tint to it. I'm not looking to put anything dark on there but I dont want it to mix with the tint that already on there and look purple. I had it looked at and they said i would also have to use a non metallic tint which i don't like because I hear it fades quicker. Ideally I would just like to add a little more of the blue tint to make it look like the newer CLK's but i don't even know if that's possible through Mercedes. Anyone have any suggestions or can help me??

I'm actually trying to fnd the same solution. I'll let you know if I find anything out.

Do you have any pics of the work you have done so far?

Yes, let us see some pics.

Why no metalic? If its because of radio reception problems, concider ceramic tint. You don't want to put any thing on those windows except a metallic or ceramic tint. And yea, the others fade. Ceramic won't effect your radio reception and is the best you can get-or so I'm lead to believe.

I've seen lots of C280s tinted with the smoke tint and never noticed it in conflict with the tinted glass already on the car. Bear in mind that the OEM tint is a glass tint. The glass is actually that color. (Unless a dealer had the windows tinted after delivery) Whats avaliable to you now is a surface or film tint: which is poly w/o metal, metalized poly, or ceramic poly-all films.

I agree! I have Llumar on my Focus and it's awsome. Hey, jnolte, does Llumar have ceramic tint and/or do you know anything about it?

Thank's for all your help guys. I'm going to look into the ceramic and I'll def check out the Llumar tint. I don't have any updated picts of the car right now since I just put the wheels on. I plan on taking them this week though and I'll post them when I do.

Thanks again!

RockSolid, where did you get your Zenon's?? Do you like them? Are they worth the money?
