Title about says it all. 2000 C230K Sport lurches for several minutes after startup when it tries to go into third. If these were low temps I'd understand, but this happens when the engine is started in temps as low as 80 (I say 80 because that's the warmest it's been here since I started driving it 2 months ago).

If the engine is cold when I start, I have to let the engine idle until the sound makes a drop (usually about 3 mins after ignition). My 88 (yes, nineteen eighty-eight) Acura doesn't have this problem, so obviously waiting three minutes for the engine to warm up isn't acceptable... it's not like SoCal gets true cold.
