Default 2000 C230 Radiator Flush?

I have a 2000 C230, would any place like Jiffy Lube or a standard oil change do a radiator flush on this car or do I need to take it to a dealer?

Also, I want to get a 100k tune-up and have the water pump replaced, ho wmuch $$$ do you think we're talking about here when taking it to a non-dealer mechanic? Any advice woul dbe appreciated. Thanks

malibudj34.

Any lube centre can perform a coolant flush on these cars. they are quite simple and the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator stands out in bright red so you can't miss it. You can use genuine coolant if you wish, although it may be pricey it is really good stuff.

There is no such thing as a 100k tune up with these cars they purely don't need it. although a regular check up by a dealer is deffinately worth while as they know typical problems and where to look for componant wear related to that model.
As far as non dealer water pump fitment goes i don't know the costs but a genuine pump will set you back a few dollars. it's best to go after market pump. hope i've helped.

good luck let me know how you go

Instead of the factory Mercedes coolant, which can run around 20 dollars a gallon from Mercedes, you can use
Zerex coolant available in most auto parts stores, and it is the only other coolant suitable for Mercedes. Look for
the G-05 name on the container. I think the container is a gold color. Or go to a shop that will use this coolant.
It's considerably less expensive. It's not green, it's a light yellow color too. That would be my suggestion.
