Question 1997 c230 cranking but not starting

My 1997 C230 will crank and sounds the same as if it were to fully turn on, yet it turns itself off after 1 second of what feels like it's on. I had just driven 50 miles the same night that I decided to look at the light inside the trunk and see how to upgrade or change it out when this problem arrived. While prying the light fixture out with a flat-head screwdriver I believe I shorted a portion of the electrical system. The headlights, taillights, dash lights, windshield wiper, windows, aftermarket radio function as normal. I have checked the battery, fuses and the fuel pump relay. What else could be the issue? I have had this car since 2002 and have not had any serious trouble like this, please help!

What you directed me to is similar. I think my issue has to deal with an electrical short somewhere, however.

I finally figured out that the issues were caused by a blown #27 fuse in the driver side main fuse compartment. The car seems to be driving as normal besides shifting into park or drive. The car jumps when shifted into or out of gear. Is this do to a faulty MAF sensor? Can I clean the MAF sensor? Will this go away if I put a few miles on the car?
