Hi everyone.

My 1995 C36 has developed a rattle in the front of the motor, at idle it sounds very much like a diesel. As soon as the rpm gets to 1500 or so, it dissapears. Ive changed the oil recently, this had no effect. When first starting the car, it is quiet, so the problem seems to exist only when the car is warm. has anyone heard of this problem before? Is it possible its the timing chain tensioner? It does not seem to be coming from anywhere in the head, only near the front of the motor.

If anyone could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated
