I'm new to the forum so thanks for any help I can get. My 06 c230 has 6k on her and the trans has started to downshift hard when slowing down. It comes and goes, sometimes if I turn the engine off it will stop other times it won't, sometimes it just does it just a few times then stops. The dealercan notduplicate it when I've taken it in(and they look at me like they have never hear about the trouble before) but it's such a hard down shift I have a hard time beliving I own the only one with this issue. I love the car and am thinkig about giving it to the wife ,and getting c320 coupe to build a real go fast city car. So any help would be great. Thanks for any help..

 

My '06 C230 Sport did it one day. It has not reappeared since. I am at 1 year and 6000 miles.

It was a pretty violently rough downshift I recall.
