hi i have a 04 c230 kompressor and i have a check engine light problem. i have these 2 codes that are on p2029 and p2054. my mechanic thought he fixed the problem but the light is still on. also another problem is the positive battery cable is shredding. the plastic some how started coming off and i had a old mb tech tell me the whole bale needs to be replaced. the car is having a few issues starting up as well.. its not always starting right up. could the issues with the battery cause the cel to stay on and show the old codes? i had the md tech look at the supposed issues with those codes and he's saying it all looks fine. so could there be issues with the battery? i'd appreciate any feedback.
