Default 04 C230 Kompressor Brakes

Where can I find the chasis# for my '04 C230 kompressor, so I can order brake pads? Does anyone have a website they order parts from?

You should be able to order using the VIN # located on the B pillar drivers door. It is also in the little inspection plate on the windshield. The chas. # is the samething except it will start with 203040 or something like that. The vin will be WDBRF40

Default I have done miy own brakes...

I have done the front and back once and about to do the front again.

I have an 04 K also and I get them from O'Reillys Auto Parts. You can order them online or at the store.

If you have the Sport package then you need to let them know. Also the only sensors for the brakes is on 1 of the front pads. (make sure the pads come with it) The rear pads do not have a sensor on the c230K.

You don't need a Vin # to order them either.

Exactly right....you DONT have four sensors even though some will tell you there are. Only one on the right front pad.

I use www.autopartswarehouse.com and
www.autohausaz.com

buy quality brake parts and if you need rotors, get them too.
These cars eat rotors along with the pads. They are designed that way.

PS>no affiliation with either company above.
The second one is FIVE STARS for service, shipping, etc.
GREAT advice on their site and a wealth of automotive car & maintenance info!!!

I actaully still haven't changed my rotors. I have the ones with the drilled holes and they are expensive to replace. I decided to hold out becasue they still had life to them. (they can't rotate the front rotors because of the drilled holes) they can only do the rear. I would suggest to wait if you can on the rotors until your next brake job. I never had an issue with vibrations either with doing this. The car brakes great!

It snowed here yesterday and last night. My "Sady J" didn't do to well in the snow...LOL I had to pull out the Hemi Ram with 4x4 yesterday while the Benzo sat in the drive!
