I have recently bought a 2005 C55 and i am thinking about putting on a supercharger. My question is two parted. First can the transmission handle the added power? (It seems to me that in its stock form you have to shift the car early to keep it from hitting the rev limiter. ) Second, what other mods must be done to the car in addition to the supercharger to protect the car from the added horsepower? (ex: injectors, filter, ecu, brakes??)

While i am thinking of it, who makes a better supercharger? RennTech or Kleemann?

 

C55 is already supercharged. C55 pulleys and ECU tuning will you nice extra power.

 

no its not.... i think that you are thinking of the E55. The C55 is NA V8.

 

I must have missed the one on my C55......................Where oh where has my supercharger gone...............

 

Let's see. First I would check with Kleemann or Brabus. They might have something. Just be prepared, they ain't cheap. :-)
