Had to have my 04 SL re booted to cure wonky locking and other problems. Lucky my local (non MB dealer) has the full MB program and was able to re boot the car. took over an hour and cost $209. but that's Half what the dealer would charge , not to mention the 300 mile round trip to get there.

The tech said like a virus ,but it was just the various items in the system going to fail safe mode. He said if I continued to drive it for too much longer it may have defaulted to "limp Home Mode" where it will run ,but thats about all.
