Default S55 (2002) DIY maintenance

I have just bought a 2002 S55, and before I look at any maintenance issues I thought I would ask a few questions to be on the safeside.

I have had a BMW 728i and have a Range Rover Vogue and have always done my own maintenance on all my cars for over 30 years but the S55 is something new. So all your advice will be sucked up like a sponge.

Can I disconnect the battery with out losing any functions that will need reprogramming by MB when I replace the battery?

Can I remove and replace the Spark plugs with out a reprogramming or function reset by MB?

Is there any issues with DIY maintenace on the S55 I should be aware of?

I thank you all in advance.

Regards

if you disconnect the battery you will lose the memory for the windows, seats, roof, easy entry, steering angle sensor, clock, and some others but nothing that will disable your car
