Hi Guy's, I am going to buy a Mercedes e55 amg!! I have been told that the cars built between 2003 and 2006 have many electrical problems and other faults? So is it better to buy the earlier 1999 models? They seem to be a lot less complicated and very reliable. I do not think my budget could go to the 2007 or 08.

Good advice would be much appreciated.

 

Old post; I know, but I have the same question. I was leaning toward the newer generation ('03-'06), but if this electrical issue is true, I may stick with 99-2002. I used to have a 500E (1992) and it was my favorite car I ever had; drove it until 2006. Anyone have advice?
