Extended warranty for Catalytic Convertor for ML55
 

MB just issued an extended warranty for 2000-2003 ML55 for 10 years-unlimited miles. I just got the letter from MB.
I replaced mine back inApril 2008 as both of my cats were rattling pretty bad. That time, warranty was 5yrs/80.000 miles. So, I turned in the receipts. Thank goodness, I bought OE parts from a MB dealer, parts alone was $2300/- and $300 labor. Dealer wanted like $3000 for the parts and $550 for labor.
As per the letter, MB should reimburse me for these expenses. Hope they do and not have to hire an attorney to get my money back on defective cats.
Do not install after market cats as MB will not reimburse.
