Air Filter and Tranny ??

What brand would you replace the stock air filters with. I think I will stay with paper filters. I am not real interested in $160 from the dealer.

Also

Is the AMG transmission a sealed unit. I do not find a dipstick. I do not yet have a manual for my 2002 clk 55 amg. This is why I ask. What is the suggested fluid change interval??

Thanks

RE: Air Filter and Tranny ??

Air filter: I use WIX or go with a K & N as I did.

Tranny: Never service? MB says so. I say do fluids and filter including draining the torque converter, every 60K. The DEALERSHIP Should do this service for about $160. Do the Rear Differential gear oil too. Your car will last longer, for sure. ;)

You can use MANN Filter for your air filter you can buy this online.

You can order the dipstick at e-bay. And leave your AT Fluid change to the pro.

AT Fluid change interval is between 50-70K miles.

FYI, 2000-2002 and up CLK55 does not have drain for the torque converter.
