RE: 2001 c32 AMG dependability
Hey, guys...I am new to MB forums, I just transferred over from DTM I have owned many M3s and am very familiar with them, however I am not so knowledge able with the MBs. I just bought a 2002C32 AMG with 84K on it. The car was traded in on a Ferrari and has lots of service records on the carfax, so I feel pretty comfortable with it. I bought this car mainly with the intention to sell it and make a little money. On top of that I am a real estate agent and needed a sedan for a little while.
All that being said it does have a few minor issues I am hoping someone can help me out with,
1.The climate control is ticking, about 4 to 6 times at start up and than no more(stapper motor "spelling", MB says it will be about 110 for the part and I have worked on many BMWs I think I might attempt this one on my own any pointers? is it even possible?)
2. The driver side automatic door lock occasionally trips out, and has a little spasm... I figure its a fuse any ideas?
3. There is a slight ticking noise coming from the engine. I know M3s tend to have a tick and its pretty standard operating noise. The noise is even on both sides of the engine, so its not an exhaust gasket or anything like that, probably not lifters either any ideas?
Besides that the car is perfect, and man that puppy screams!
I appreciate any advice!

As with any high performance car, expect to have more issues then a regular daily driver and make sure when you buy it, you ask for all the service records, because last thing you want to do is spend money doing repairing what the previous owner should've done.
