Wondering if anyone can help me im working on a 02 s55 amg. I can not seem to get the headlights in. Wondering if you have to remove the bumper to put them in. Thanks

 

there are brackets that slide tward the front wheel. near the side marker lamp. you must first remove the wheel well liners. then loosen the screw/ its a small torx usually. then slide out the metal bracket it holds the bumper to the fender.

 

Any tricks to getting the bumper retainer back on it seems like its a real pain to slide them back on even with the wheel liner off thanks.

 

not really. just make sure the fender and bumper are pressed tightly together and then the bracket will slide back onto the 2 pieces sometimes you might have to force it on with a screwdriver. or lube up the bracket with some oil or vaseline so it slides easier then put the screw back in.
