my windows and mirrors do not work.
the fuses are ok and the motors work when hotwired.
can you tell me what could be the problem?

That sounds like there is problem with the computer unit. I had the the same problem with my previous car (a bmw530i). That was the reason I changed car to a e320 cdi...
