What does the spring opposite the k-1 spring do?
 

Hi, my transmission seems to have the 2-3 upshift flare problem. I ordered the k-1 spring, hopefully this will fix it. While I was down there though I removed the plate directly opposite, towards the rear, of the k-1 spring. It had a similar spring set up to the k-1 except there was nothing keeping the spring compressed. When I unscrewed the plate the green end shot out of its holder. Is it supposed to be like this? Or is there something wrong? Thanks

Anybody know? Is it supposed to look exactly like the k1 spring?
