WATER & OIL\ WHY???

Default WATER & OIL\ WHY???

I have a 1996 C220 that just had a head gasket replaced by a local shop and I'm still getting water in my oil any one know why???

Possible that fault was not head gasket. Could be even worse and be a crack in the head/block.

However, does your engine have a modine water/oil type oil cooler.
If so mixing has been known to occur at this point.
Suggest you remove cooler and pressure check.

check the oil cooler. that's where the oil and water could mix.

it is attached to the oil filter housing.

I'm getting oil in my coolant, could the oil cooler be the entry point? I had the rad replaced a month ago and the problem is back. I can't be sure if it's tranny fluid or engine oil. But my engine oil is disappearing rather fast.

You say oil is disappearing fast.
However, Is oil appearing in the coolant?

Oil Cooler can be the problem if the engine is fitted with a "modine" oil/water type cooler.
