Using HFM ECU in a PMS enviroment

Has anyone managed to integrate a HFM or other ECU device on a car where PMS is needed by default? I have a E200C (111.940) and as my ECU got stolen I am considering various options. If I could improve my car I wouldn't feel so bad because of the accident.

possible.

you may throw away the airmass sensor and install the intake vacuum sensor.

Thanks! Could you please give me some details? What type of HFM ECU will I need? What type of vacuum sensor? Is the wireing the same? How to deal with the immobilizer? Possible problems?

oh... you mean convert it from PMS to HFM?

that will be so troublesome. you can use the HFM for engine 111.942 since it's the nearest thing to it.

no need for vacuum sensor... i was thinking the other way around.

the wiring is totally different.

immobilizer? upon installing the HFM control unit, you need to code it using HHT or StarDiagnosis to start enable.

why do you want to convert it?

lots of things need to be done, and it's not easy explaining it here.

Yes, I was considering converting from PMS to HFM because I learnt that the HFM system is more precise and has lower maintanance. Currently I am without an ECU so as I have being looking for a new one (and I am going to pay a lot for it), it seemed a good idea to improve my car. I've heard that someone did it and I hoped that there is a howto somewhere or that it's not that hard.

The starter flywheels are different. They are not compatible to each other.
