Timeport, motorola, cables, and the cradle?
Hi,
I just bought a 2002 c32 amg with integrated Timeport and COMAND.
It seems to have pre-wiring to the upper armrest, as there is an rj-45 port sort of under the raised and illuminated "assistance" and "info" buttons inside the armrest.
I see that there are some cradles on ebay, and that they work with the different motorola phone models. Most of them have 2 attached cables -- the round one looks like it goes to the phone and the other looks like the rj45.
My first question is:
What else do I need to hook up a phone -- just a cradle and a v60 or v600 (and a sim card?)
Or is there another component that needs to be installed besides the cradle?
My second question is:
How does the cradle mount to the floor of the armrest? Would it be reasonable for someone with less-than-average tool knowledge to install one?
I could really really use a clear explanation about what I need to buy at this point (I am thinking just a cradle and a phone)

Thats all you need, but your going to need to take it to a dealership and tell them to hook it up to the Star Diagnostic machine. They need to use that machine to tell the car that it has a phone. The system is kinda stupid. You have to tell it what it has for it to work. If you hook it all up, the car will still think it has no phone. Good luck
Hopefully, you solved your phone problem.
I have 1998 E320 Analog phone. AT&T charge $3 per minutes to make a call. I just need a converter, an adapter or a switch box to plug in other phones to work with my existing 1998 E320 old phone system.
Anyone knows where to fine an adapter, converter or anything to plug in other digital phones that work with T-mobile into my existing old analog phone system?
