tilting outside rear view mirrors

Hello to the devotees of MBZ uber alles

My wife has a 2010 E350 Avant Garde Pkg. Benz that has tilted the outside mirrors in reverse since new. Lately they haven't. Took it in for transmission flush at 39K today and asked to have the mirror operation checked.
MBZ Service writer checked the Info. Syst. and tells me the car is not equipped for reverse tilt mirrors.
I have the original Mulroney sticker, and no mirror tilt is specifically mentioned.

Is there anyone out there that can ID where that feature would show up and how it would be designated?

with the car in Park engine running, set the passenger side mirror to the position you want it to tilt to when backing up. then press the driver side seat memory M button and hold it. you might hear a beep. if that doesn't work try to do this in Reverse.

Thanks for the reply;
Contrary to my earlier life with technical interfaces, before I started pushing, poking, & probing, I actually read the manual and tried the reset process to no avail.
