Hello fellas,

I am about to purchase my first Mercedes Diesel. I want to purchase a 78 300 CD locally but the lack of take-off power bothers me. A friend of mine has a strong running 79 300 SD turbo with body damage that I could buy as a donor car for a turbo parts swap. As the label of newbie might suggest I do not have alot of experience with Diesels, and would like to know if all I will have to swap is the exhaust manifold with turbo, and the various other parts on the external engine. OR is there internal differences between the engines too.
