Exclamation Sudden Misfire....

For starters i have a 03' c230 wagon. 6 cyl. with aprox. 75000 miles
Car has driven fine up until yesterday afternoon on my way home from work. Started fine both in the morning and afternoon, then as i was turning down a street i gave it a little more gas than usual and it began to run rough, with MIL illuminated. I eased it home and pulled into the garage, parked it and tapped on the gas. As the rpms dropped i noticed a strong rattle from the center underbody of the car. I inspected and found it to be coming from im assuming the resonators at the Y merge. I then drove it to my local Autozone to have them pull the codes, but on the way i also noticed there was an extreme lack of power and began to miss under 3/4 to wot. They pulled the codes and found cyl. #1,2 and various other cyl.'s to have missfired. Long story short (and i know this hasnt excatly been short lol) iv done the following to try and diagnose/fix the issue:
Inspected both air filters- which were fine
Inspected and cleaned MAF with appropriate cleaner
Ran higher concentrate of fuel injector and system cleaner(full bottle on 1/4 tank) for about 10-15 min. then drove and filled tank.

any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

if the cats get clogged up they can create alot of back pressure and cause misfires. if your hearing noise under the car maybe thats the problem.

Hey thanks, it sounds like it very well could be the issue, but if its not do you think it may be a sensor such as the CKP, or the CMP? Considering it was such a quick occurrence? I have been researching sites to try and find wiring diagrams with resistance perameters and the how to's on checking them. Again thank you
