hi i have a j reg 500sel that has started to smoke when in traffic and when you firtst start it.does any one have any ideas .</P>

Probably in need of a valve job. The eng is known for guides wearing out after about 100k to 150k miles. The bottom end will last forever as long as it's not abused.
