Default Side View Mirror

My mirror broke over the weekend. Just the glass. I ordered the part from the dealership, but have no idea how to install it. Does anyone know how to install the mirror into the side view console?

what type of car and year, some move up mirror than you see clip under mirror and pry up then pull off whole covering on mirror slides off to outside, some cars you must flip mirror all the way in towards the driver doorand there is a clip on the side. kind of hard to explain. the mirror glass itself has a clip on it also at the top and it helps to hold in mirror but the correct way is to remove the mirror cover. you might be able to clip the glass in but you could break the glass.

i think on them you can install the glass with the cover on. is the old glass already off? look at the new one and look at the tabs that hold it on, usually slide on the bottom of the glass then push on and it should pop on there should be a metal clip that will secure the glass to the motor at the top.

yes, it might help to put the mirror motor all the way down so you can see the top of the glass.
