S-Class Vented Rotors

I just replaced the rotors on my 2006 S-430, with 33K miles. I was told they're warped (which would explain the loud squeeling), but had plenty of thickness. Since you can't turn drilled rotors, I either had to replace them or live with the constant squeeling. I chose to replace them. Can anyone tell me if two years or 33,000 miles is when these high performance rotors should be replaced? Or, is this too soon? If it is, should the manufacturer pay for them?[:o]

RE: S-Class Vented Rotors

Something not right here!

Surely the MB Warranty is 3 years 100k miles or similar in the USA? Maybe it is even longer?

Rotors are designed to wear and as a VERY rough guide should need to be replaced every two (or possibly three) pad changes.

Pad wear is down to driving style/speeds but 30k for a set of pads would be a reasonable starting point.

have the pads been changed previously? Are they the OE pads?

Rotors are always best replaced rather than "skimmed / turned". Surface finish is critical.

Squealing brakes. MB brakes are usually very noise tolerant due to the pad/rotor characteristics....which leads to a lot of annoying brake dust on the rims.

So what have MB said about this? Why have they not covered it under warranty?
