Replacing left front driver window switch on the console.

RE: Replacing left front driver window switch on the console.
There are two different styles of console, the early had two seperate panels joined near the ash tray, the second 95/96 up was one piece. The first step would be to remove the trim around the shifter, a plastic wedge helps to free it
In the first version open the ash tray, remove the container, loosen the screw that holds the wooden cover on the ash tray and slide up and away. This is important, there are two torx located in the opening holding the upper and lower panel together, they are lateral. You will also see two phillips straight down those are for the upper panel. Once you remove the two "lateral screws" you should be able to pivot the panel upwards slightly and then pull forward to release the catch on the arm rest side. to remove the upper panel remove the "phillips" and the screws in the radio opening, (after removing radio) pivot forward and pull down.
The later version has a catch on the arm rest side, and also screws in the radio opening, it pivots up from the arm rest side. I think you might have to remove The HVAC control, in addition to the radio so you will need the radio tools
