Replacement Glow Plug Relay Not an Exact Fit - Help!

Greetings All - The glow plug relay on my '89 190D 2.5 (non-turbo) has a fried contact. I guess there aren't a lot of the '89 190Ds out there, and I couldn't find a relay that exactly matched my car (at a good price), so I ended up buying one on ebay that came off an '85 190D. Internally, they are totally different and I don't know if that really matters...

Externally, there are two differences: The new one (from the '85) has the strip fuse (the old one didn't), but the main difference is that the new one (from the '85) doesn't have the "T" contact, whereas the bad one on my car does. I dont have a wiring diagram... Does anyone know what the T lead is for? My guess is it has something to do with a temperature sensor. I'm hoping I can slap it in my car and still have it work without the T connection, but am also wondering what damage if any, could result from doing this. Any help/advice will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance...

Why not just buy a new one, the correct one?
Try Rusty at buymbparts.biz. I'm sure he can help.

RE: glow plug relay

Yes, I can always go that route, but it's a bit more expensive as it is strictly an MB part. I'd like to substitute it with something a bit more common and less expensive, if at all possible...
