Hey everyone I'm new here (and to automobile ownership), and I just got my first car, a silver '84 CD. Overall it's in good condition for it's age, but of course it's got some mechanical problems.

When the car is on but stopped for more than a few seconds at a stop light or stop sign, the entire car begins to throb lightly. My dad says it's because it needs a new fuel filter.

How much would a new fuel filter cost, where could I get it, and how do I install?
