Power Sterring Problems ML320 Moaning sounds
 

Please HELP

I notice that when I make a turn, on my 98 ML320 I can hear the power steering make a moaning sound.

It sounds like the pump or some other powered part as opposed to a linkage.....

Particularly during tight turns.

There seems to be a small leak but the fluid level is fine!

Anyone have any suggestions????

firstfeather,
there is 2 common problems here. first the top p/s hose @ radiator leaks. look on right side faceing engine at engine side of radiator if leaking your ML might still be under campain for free fix if not cut hose and reattach and clamp.
second problem p/s reservoir seal leaks, look behind where you put p/s fluid in and see if you see a leak you will need to replace reservoir to pump seal
