Please Please Help!! - Question on Panel lighting.
 

Hi All,

Just bought a ML 270 CDI (2002) yesterday.
This might sound very stupid and I apologise but:
When I switch on my headlamps as normal all the control panels (Temp controls, Window buttons and Radio) lights up as any vehicle should do.

As soon as I turn the ignition on, they dim down/lights go off. :confused:
Is this normal. I have checked all the fuses - They are fine and no warning lights or any other anomalies have occured.

If you could shed light on this I would really appreciate it.
