Please answer! Im freezing to death!
Hi!
I drive a 94' c220 diesel w202 Recently, after a couple of months with my heater-fan squeeking, the fan just suddenly stopped working. It's been -10 to -22 degrees celsius outside, and I have no heating og fan at all. 1.All the fuses are ok. 2.Someone told me I should connect power directly on the fan, to see if the motor works, how do I do this? Im not so good at electric stuff :( 3. Is the "fan-box" in the back of the motor-room, straight ahead of the frontwindow? Any ideas of what's wrong? would really appreciate a quick answer, as I have to get this fan working asap:/ sorry for bad english.. Thanks, -lokey |
id say its the blower motor itself.the brushes in the motor tend to burn out.if you leave the motor turned on and hit the panel above the passenger feet it can sometimes get it working for a short time.

i would replace the motor.replacing the brushes would work but not for as long i find.

If it was squeeking, it was more than just brushes - replace the assy.

The motor was broken and I have to buy a new one! Anyone know where to get it for a decent price? The mb workshop here in norway demand like 600$ for it..

Rusty sells them for $307.00. He ships to Europe, so he could save you some money.

I have no idea as I am not Rusty. His phone number and email are listed on his site - contact him directly.
If you want to see if the blower works, remove it and hook up 12vdc. If it works then, then you have a different problem. |
